The Vulcan K40EL is a floor-mounted stationary kettle for preparing large batches of sauces, soups, chilies, and more. This electric steamer is a great alternative to stockpots, offering more efficiency and control. Featuring a 2/3 steam jacketed design, the unit offers 50% more working capacity which makes it suitable for high volume commercial foodservice locations. It is delivers 18,000 Watts of heating power is made of type 316 and 304 stainless steel for maximum corrosion-resistance and durability. The ellipsoidal bottom kettle liner is formed and fully welded for a stable base. A faucet bracket is provided for easy installation. The unit features a spring assist hinged stainless steel cover for convenient loading and easy cleanup. A 2" compression tangent draw-off valve is installed with a perforated strainer to draw off unwanted liquid from the food.

The stationary kettle has a water-resistant control at the enclosure for operators to choose different heat settings. The control also includes a power switch, power on light, solid-state temperature control and vacuum/pressure gauge. A low water cut-off and pressure limit switch is installed to make sure the user is not exposed to certain safety risks. The kettle has 40 gallon capacity and has a water reservoir with embossed gallons/liter markings. It requires a 208V or 240V electrical connection to function. The unit needs to be hardwired since it does not plug into a wall outlet. It is UL, ANSI, and NSF listed.
