The Manitowoc IDT-1500N is an Indigo NXT™ Series ice maker designed for reliable ice production. Designed for businesses that need large quantities of ice for their foodservice operations, this remote-cooled ice cube machine will accommodate to diverse needs. It makes a valuable addition to a busy restaurant, cafeteria, grocery store, or hospital to create large amounts of ice for serving beverages. This model can produce up to 1,710 lbs of ice within 24 hours. With programmable settings, users can control the frequency and volume of daily ice production. Users can also choose between full size and half size ice cubes. Having the condenser located away from the ice machine, the unit operates at low ambient temperatures for increased efficiency and superior comfort.

This Indigo NXT Series 48" wide ice maker machine features a revolutionary acoustical sensing probe that accurately measures that the ice thickness is correct and uniform with each cycle. The unit features an icon based EasyRead display that conveys operating statuses to the staff along with other related information through an attractive, illuminated display. This unit is designed with state-of-the-art intelligent diagnostics that provide 24-hour preventative maintenance and diagnostic feedback for trouble-free operation.

The Manitowoc Indigo series ice machine features a tough, clear-coat DuraTech™ exterior that prevents corrosion and hides dirt and fingerprints. The hinged door at the front offers easy and quick access to the removable sensing probes, distribution tube, and water-trough for a fast and efficient cleaning. Select components that come in contact with water are made with AlphaSan® antimicrobial agent for superior sanitation. With such innovative features, the unit assures improved energy management, streamlined cleaning process, excellent ice quality, and up-to-date diagnostic services for superior function.

This model requires a compatible remote condensing unit (separately sold) and tubing kit (separately sold) for operation. It is available in single-phase and three-phase options.

  • What is an ice machine deflector, and when would one be needed?

    • An ice machine deflector is used to deflect the ice away from the front panel into the back of the ice bin so ice doesnt build up and cause condensation issues on the front panel of the machine. A deflector would be used on cubers that are either mounted on a dispenser or on a non-Manitowoc ice bin.
