    • Using a 1/2 lb. food waste per person/meal as a guide, the Hobart FD4-150 disposer is best suited to a salad/vegetable prep area for 1,000 to 2,000 meals per day, to a cafeteria, commissary or school's soiled dish table area for 500 to 1,000 meals per day, or to a restaurant, hotel or hospital's soiled dish table area for 300 to 500 meals per day. If the waste will include a large percentage of bones or other hard materials, you may need a larger model or additional units.
