How do I decrease the set temperature?
- Increase the temperature up past 572?F and it will recycle to 14?F. From there, continue increasing the set temperature to reach the desired lower temperature.
I lost the probe. Can I get a replacement?
- Yes. Replacement probes are available for this thermometer. Order the AD-DSP1.
How far do I need to insert the probe?
- Insert the probe at least 1" (2.5 cm) into the meat, making sure that it is not inserted into a fatty deposit.
How is the oven temperaure monitored along with the food temperature?
- This thermometer has a special probe that has a separate ambient sensor on it. The ambient sensor monitors the oven temperature while the standard probe measures the food that it is inserted into.
