In January 2010, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that funds from two different grants will soon become available to eligible school food authorities (SFAs).

If you were one of the many SFAs that did not receive a 2009 ARRA School Lunch Equipment Grant, you may still be eligible to receive funds! Your state agency will contact you soon if you have been awarded funds, but you can learn more about the grants here, or by calling a School Nutrition Equipment Expert at 800-215-9293.

New York	2009 ARRA Re-Allocated Grants Memo
	Nearly $600,000 available from unspent funds in 2009. State will continue down the list of ranked 2009 applications and award as many schools as possible. You will be contacted by phone if you are chosen to receive the grant funds.
North Dakota	2010 Equipment Grant Page
	Applications must be postmarked by 2/19/10.
Ohio	2009 ARRA Grants Winners Page
	Updated to include schools that received the re-allocated funds from the 2009 ARRA Grants.
South Dakota	2010 Equipment Grants Page
	Info describing award process. South Dakota will use the applications submitted in 2009 for the ARRA Grants and grant money to the next eligible SFAs on the list. They will continue awarding as many SFAs as possible until all funds are depleted.
Texas	2009 ARRA Re-Allocated Grant Winners Page

Vermont	2010 Equipment Grants Application
	Maximum grant amount is $3,500. All applications due by 4:30 p.m. on April 2, 2010 (faxed submissions not accepted). Approximately $40,000 in total grants available.

2010 School Lunch Equipment Grant— $25 Million in Grants Available

$25 million in grants made available by the USDA
Grants will be awarded to SFAs that participate in the National School Lunch Program and did not receive a 2009 ARRA School Lunch Equipment Grant
An application process has not yet been determined; most states will rely upon the applications submitted for the 2009 ARRA Grants
Each state agency will communicate the information to schools as it becomes available (see below for specific information from some states)

2009 ARRA School Lunch Equipment Grant— Re-Allocation of Unused Funds

Funds that were not used by 2009 ARRA School Lunch Equipment Grant winners by September 30, 2009 have been collected by each state
These funds will now be re-allocated to additional SFAs
SFAs do not need to re-apply; states will award grants based upon the applications submitted in 2009
States must notify SFAs of the award no later than February 26, 2010
SFAs must use the awarded funds no later than September 30, 2010
