What Can a Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP) Do for You?
Chris, CFSP,
ext, 8484
Our Product Consultants are industry experts; many have earned the esteemed Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP) accreditation. The certified program is offered through the North American Association of Foodservice Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM), which represents around 700 foodservice equipment and supplies manufacturers. The program is designed to raise professional standards and quality of the foodservice industry and to encourage continuing educational development.
To gain this distinction, Central’s Product Consultants endure a grueling three-month training program to gain knowledge in areas including foodservice equipment, supplies, smallwares, lighting, utilities and facility design. In addition to training and studying, Product Consultants must complete a number of foodservice-related activities, including work experience, trade show attendance and other documented educational programs. Then, the Product Consultants must prove mastery by passing a two-and-a-half-hour written exam.
To keep CFSP certification, Product Consultants must continue to attend trade shows and complete educational programs throughout the year. By doing this, they are able to stay on top of the latest and biggest trends in the foodservice industry. When you call a Central Product Consultant, you can be confident that you are receiving the best advice on foodservice products and trends. We know which products will work best for your application, and we will work to get you the best pricing available because you, your establishment and your order are all central to us.
